EVMT Christmas Update and Seasons Greetings
The EVMT team would like to wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and a prosperous and exciting new year.
The last few months have been a busy but very productive period for the team with continued support to Adopt an Intern, Exeter School as well as providing professional services to several companies including Rolls-Royce, Global Footprints Inc.
At the personal level, EVMT’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Emma, started her MSc in Marketing at Solent University and our Managing Director, Mark achieved Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) with the Association for Project Management (APM). Mark has also been appointed to the ChPP Panel.
EVMT continued to support the APM using available educational training material to attend school’s career evenings as well as looking to develop a longer- term education approach with their Education Team. We are also liaising with SW Projects who are actively developing the Fusion Programme for schools and colleges led by Steve Wake.
School Liaison – Exeter School
EVMT has supported several key Exeter School activities recently that have included supporting the excellent 6Th Form Interview Scheme, a careers evening and a presentation to the Lower 6th. Lessons learned from similar activities were put in place including the use of the APM “Project You” material. A big thank you to Ali Marsh, Ruth Cheeseman and Julia Bawn for allowing our continued involvement.
Adopt an Intern Sponsorship
We have continued to Sponsor and support AAI’s CEO, Joy Lewis and her brilliant team as they continue to support disadvantaged elements of society to meet their full potential. EVMT’s sponsorship has provided the funding to allow AAI to conduct a detailed study into the impact upon disabled graduates attempting to get into the job market. Ross who has been leading this work has identified some key areas that need to be addressed and has built up and excellent relationship with both Government agencies and the business community. Look out for a report and future activities from AAI in the new year.
As our involvement with AAI lessens EVMT are in discussions regarding new roles and will continue to support Global Footprints Inc marketing initiatives in the UK and it is hoped that the liaison with the technology innovation company Larato UK will bare results in 2019 in positioning sales of the proven systems integration product, Global Integration.
